“Every brushstroke carries the memory of a thousand hands — and the dream of one.”

Where Tradition Breathes Through Modern Hands
Khushbu's artistic journey is a deeply personal odyssey — one that takes you through the living traditions of India's most celebrated folk art forms. Rooted in Madhubani, Warli, and Pattachitra, her work is far more than the sum of its techniques. It is a conversation between past and present, between inherited wisdom and individual voice.
What makes Khushbu's practice singular is her ability to weave these distinct visual languages into pieces that feel both ancient and entirely her own. She does not simply replicate tradition — she inhabits it, breathes through it, and allows her personal narrative to emerge from within its structures.
Each handmade work carries a personal touch that no print or reproduction can replicate. Join her on a journey where creativity and passion transform raw pigment and cloth into artefacts of enduring beauty.

A Legacy Written in Pigment
2018 — Roots in Tradition
Khushbu's first brushstrokes were guided by her grandmother's hands, tracing the bold lines of Madhubani fish across old newspaper. That childhood memory — of ochre and indigo on a Sunday morning — became the seed of everything that followed.
2020 — Three Languages, One Voice
She began a methodical study of India's three great folk painting traditions: Madhubani, Warli, and Pattachitra. Rather than treating each as a separate discipline, Khushbu saw them as dialects of the same visual language — and set out to speak them all fluently.
2022 — The Artist Emerges
Khushbu held her first solo showcase at a craft mela in her home city, presenting 24 works that blended all three traditions into a coherent, wholly original style. The collection sold out within the weekend. Critics noted her rare ability to honour heritage while making something unmistakably personal.
Present — Handmade with Heart
Working full-time as an artist through Hastakala, Khushbu creates bespoke pieces for collectors who believe that a handmade work carries something no print ever can — the trace of a human hand, and the story it carries.
