Dots Per Piece

From Code to Canvas

Monica's journey is one of deliberate reinvention. A seasoned IT product manager by profession, she discovered in mandalas a language that code could never quite capture — the language of stillness, of organic growth, of beauty born from repetition and intention.

At Hastakala, she embraces this transformation fully. Each piece of meditative art emerges through a delightful interplay of dots, colours, and patterns, guided not by a rigid plan but by an intuitive, mindful process. The mandala does not begin with the end in mind; it reveals itself dot by dot, circle by circle.

Her mission is to bring calm, connection, and inspiration into living spaces, transforming rooms into sanctuaries of tranquillity and creative energy. Monica believes that art need not be intimidating — it simply needs to be honest.

Her Story

A Journey of Becoming

2018The First Dot

During a period of personal stillness, Monica picked up a stylus and placed her first deliberate dot on paper. That single mark opened a conversation between her analytical mind and a quieter, more intuitive self she had not yet met.

2020The Great Pivot

After a decade managing digital products, Monica made the most deliberate decision of her career — she walked away from her IT role to pursue mandala art full-time. Friends called it brave. She called it overdue.

2022A Language of Her Own

Monica developed her signature style: intricate dot-work mandalas that blend meditative symmetry with bursts of unexpected colour. Her first solo exhibition sold out within two days, with collectors drawn to the rare calm her work radiates.

PresentHastakala & Beyond

Now part of the Hastakala family, Monica creates commissioned pieces for homes and spaces seeking transformation. She also runs mindful art workshops, teaching that the act of making is as meaningful as the finished work.
